TRAINING: YWCA & NAMI-Austin Presents "Silver Linings: How Families Face the Trauma & Challenge of Mental Illness"

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the YWCA Greater Austin is very honored to partner with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI-Austin) with a training for our community mental health providers, school counselors, caseworkers and others working in social services.

Silver Linings: How Families Face the Trauma & Challenge of Mental Illness will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. - 12: 15 p.m. at the Austin Travis County Integral Care Training Room. A panel of clinicians will speak about their challenges in dealing with mental illness in their own families, as well as provide information on how to help clients who are dealing with mental illnesses in their families.

The cost is $40.00 for YWCA members; $60.00 for non-members; and, $25.00 for students with current school ID, and includes three (3) continuing education hours for Social Work, LPC and LMFT and a light breakfast. See the attachment for more information. You may register online at
