Space is limited! FREE Mental Health First Aid training 9/25-9/26

Mental Health First Aid Training

Good afternoon 4ABHN members,

As a supporter and member of the 4ABHN, we would like to extend to you the opportunity to become certified in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis.

The Hogg Foundation invites you to participate in a free MHFA training course this September, however space is limited – only 10 registrations are available. You must be able to attend the entire time on both training days. You will be notified via email to confirm your registration.

Mental Health First Aid Training
Monday, Sept. 25 and Tuesday, Sept. 26
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM both days
At the Hogg Foundation, 3001 Lake Austin Blvd., 4th floor
Austin, TX, 78703

To register, email Vicky Coffee or call (512) 475-7057.

In this training, you’ll learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. This course is intended for the layperson. You do not need a mental health or clinical background to participate. In fact, the class is designed specifically for those who don’t.

Upon successful completion of the MHFA course you will be certified in MHFA and the certification is good for two years.

We hope to see you there! Thanks!
