Austin Community College Police Department ‘s Chief Lynn Dixon presents “Learn more about ACC’s Campus Carry Policies and Texas Campus Carry Laws”

1.     How might having guns on campus change the climate at ACC?

2.     What kind of ongoing training will there be for all employees to raise awareness about safety?

3.     Given the disproportionate impact of gun violence on people of color, what are some of the safeguards  that ACC is building in?


ACC invites all ACC students, guests to ACC campuses, faculty, staff, administrators, volunteers, use of facilities stakeholders, visitors to ACCcampuses , personnel, businesses,  ACC constituencies and stakeholders adjacent to ACC campuses, e.g. parents, guardians, youth nonprofit organizations, youth advocates, faith communities, neighborhood associations, human services, social services, public safety, law enforcement, constables, justices of the peace, early childhood education and youth programs and all others who are interested to attend.
