Second Saturday with Erin Ebert, LMSW
Eating Disorders and Substance Use
This presentation will provide the community with information about eating disorders and their co-occurrence with substance use disorders. Participants will learn about eating disorders, as well as common eating disorder myths/beliefs. We will address risk factors for relapse in both substance use recovery, as well as eating disorder recovery.
Erin K. Ebert is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Austin, Texas. She received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work in May of 2016, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (2007). Erin has experience working with adolescent and adult populations in a variety of settings and levels of care. Throughout Erin's varied career experience-from her time in Higher Education, to working at Austin's first sober high school, and now at Eating Recovery Center, one thing remains constant-an unwavering belief in the power people possess to create a life worth living. Erin has been a part of the Eating Recovery Staff for nearly 2 years, and is grateful for the daily opportunity to watch the amazing growth and hope that is possible through recovery.
Second Saturday lectures are always free and open to everyone.
2 CEUs for LCDC, LPC and LMSW are awarded at the end of the lecture.
