I.C.A.R.E Faith Community Conference- Save the Date

Since 2012, there have been increases in police shootings, other deadly force used against minorities; in addition, there have also been assaults on Police Officers, including several murders, throughout the United States. It is because of this that the Austin Police Community Liaison Corp, along with partners, the Austin Police Department Training Academy and the Omni Hotel, will offer a conference, not just to meet and greet local law enforcement officers, but to educate the faith community, the congregations and the community throughout the city, and surrounding counties, in the hopes to reach the community and educate them on how to interact with Law enforcement. Not only how to interact, but relate in such a manner that will forge mutual respect of one another.

I truly believe by offering this very vital and educational conference to the faith community it will reach those that would not otherwise attend such an event. Since the faith community reaches the masses of its congregants through regular church services, events and other personal outreach programs, I feel that this is a wonderful way to transmit much needed information to the masses.

This first comeback bi-annual conference will be titled, "The 2016 I.C.A.R.E Faith Community Conference: Strengthening Communities through Applied Education and will showcase various topics as follows;
