The Austin Area African American Behavioral Health Network (4ABHN) is a group of individuals interested in the behavioral health and wellness of African Americans in the Austin area. The network is comprised of behavioral health professionals and providers, consumers, youth and their families, faith leaders and community members. The network strives to identify and bring together local behavioral health professionals and community resources that provide recovery-oriented supports for individuals living with mental health, substance use and intellectual disabilities.
4ABHN meets regularly to offer education and awareness of behavioral health topics, provide information on local resources and culturally competent providers. Meetings provide an opportunity for making connections and developing relationships with others interested in the mental health, recovery and wellness of African Americans.
Meetings are held regularly at the Hogg Foundation, 4th Floor, 3001 Lake Austin Boulevard in Austin. For more information or to receive emails about future network events, contact Program Officer Vicky Coffee-Fletcher, (512) 475-7057.
